| Description: | The celebrated English author of the best-selling book, "White Teeth," Zadie Smith reads from her whip-smart and award-winning latest novel, "On Beauty," a funny and insightful look at the conflict between the political and the personal. "On Beauty" was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and recently won the 2006 Orange Prize for Fiction. Smith will appear in conversation with a special guest to be announced. Her acclaimed 2001 debut, "White Teeth" earned the then-23-year-old comparisons to Salman Rushdie, John Irving and Martin Amis. |
