Description: Art Beyond the Glass is a special event where everything from the cocktails to the art hanging on the walls and the music coming out of the speakers will be created or performed by LA's top bartenders.

Location: Sadie Kitchen & Lounge, a stunning, 7,300 square-foot venue that mixes Golden Age Hollywood glamor and modern aesthetics. The Sadie bar program is overseen by Giovanni Martinez, one of LA's most innovative and highly-respected bartenders. Sadie's seasonal New Californian menu is overseen by Consulting Chef Mark Gold, the Executive Chef and owner of the acclaimed Eva in West Hollywood.

Proceeds from Art Beyond the Glass will be donated to Inner-City Arts, a nonprofit organization located in Skid Row that provides arts education to at-risk youth. GOOD Education describes Inner-City Arts as "one of the most effective arts education entities in the nation."

Admission includes open bar, bar bites from the Sadie kitchen, samples from our sponsors, and art, music and performances by bartenders from across LA. There will also be raffle prizes and live silkscreening, with all proceeds going to Inner-City Arts.

About: Inner-City Arts
Founded in 1989, Inner-City Arts offers opportunities for at-risk children from Los Angeles' public and private schools to build artistic self expression, enhancing their ability to perform both creatively and academically in challenging environments.

At Inner-City Arts, there is a direct connection between exploration, creativity and academic achievement. Children learn to communicate feelings and ideas in the universal language of art, and are empowered to apply the skills that they have learned to their regular academic programs. Most importantly, children are able to see themselves as valuable, worthy and capable of reaching goals.

Inner-City Arts believes that the arts are vital for personal and cultural development and they connect the individual to their community and to the larger world. Their philosophy is that by validating the creative impulses and uniqueness of each student, they provide a bridge between the artistic experience, and the development of the whole child and increased academic achievement.
