<title>08/28 |7:00PM| King Kukulele Presents The Floating Luau At The Tiki T</title>
		<link>http://la.com.socialdomain.com/info.php?id=30592</link>
<description>Tiki-Ti :: 4427 Sunset Blvd :: Los Angeles || Tiki Diablo is known internationally for his work as a carver, designer, mug maker, and décor specialist. Having worked in Germany, England, Spain and the Mainland he has made his mark on the world of Tiki. He is one of very few contemporary artists whose work is represented on the historic walls of the Tiki Ti. He will join King Kukulele on stage for the first time since they shared the stage at the Tabou Tiki Room in Berlin, Germany.

AND

Meet Mike Buhen and learn the secrets of the Tiki Ti! We’ll hear the story of founder/owner Ray Buhen whose picture hangs on the wall keeping a watchful eye over the Tiki Ti. Mike will answer questions from the audience, explain the history of the “Big Board”, and talk about the latest changes at the bar Beachbum Berry describes as one of very few places where you can get drinks recreated for you according to their original recipes.

ALSO

King Kukulele will give the partons a chance to revisit the music that made the nights come alive in the Honolulu of the 50’s and 60’s. In the intimate setting of the Tiki Ti, the King will engage the audience with songs and stories, accepting requests and creating new little ditties just for the Floating Luau guests.

PLUS

The legendary Lefthanders Club existed in the 60’s and then disappeared forever into the memory of those lucky few members who enjoyed the annual laughter at the luau of the Lefthanders Club. Few people have ever witnessed the Lefthanders Club luau but one who was there will share his memories and even show 40 year old film footage of the Lefthanders at play. As a special surprise, after 40 years, the Lefthanders Club will re-open for one night only and all guests of the Floating Luau will become honorary members and given a Lefthanders Club membership card! This membership card is a recreation of an original Lefthanders Club card from 1964!!

Come share this ultra rare opportunity to hear live music at Ray Buhen’s Tiki Temple.
We’ll see you at the Tiki Ti!!! </description>
